What to do
- Contact the bank: Tell us about the situation promptly. Secure or close any impacted accounts.
- Add a fraud alert: Place a fraud alert with a credit bureau (they'll notify the others).
- Report it: File a report with local law enforcement.
- File a report with the Federal Trade Commission: Visit IdentityTheft.gov
