Board of Directors

Boone Bank & Trust Co. is managed by a board of directors, consisting of three executive members and four non-executive members.

Michael P. Carr - President

Mr. Carr joined Boone Bank & Trust in January 2000 after graduating from Iowa State University. He has served in many roles throughout his time at Boone Bank & Trust Co. He joined the Board of Directors in 2015.  

John P. Nelson - Chairman of the Board

Mr. Nelson is the President & CEO of Ames National Corporation which he was appointed in 2018. Prior he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of the Company since 1999. He also serves on the Board of Ames National Corporation and as Chairman of the Board of State Bank & Trust Co. and United Bank & Trust. He is also a member of the board of directors of both First National Bank and Iowa State Savings Bank.
